CHEER: BAKED GOODIES

One of the final things on Jenny's and my Christmas Cheer bucket list was to bake a whole kitchen full of goodies to give out to co-workers and friends. We decided to make chocolate chip, lemon crinkle, gingerbread, peanut butter balls, and turtles. Saturday morning was filled with flour, dirty dishes, fun conversation, taste tests, and listening to this remix over and over again.

One of my big baking to-do's before 2013 is to try my hand at baking French Macarons. I bought a cookbook, did some research on Macaron "best practices" and bought this amazing Macaron kit inspired by the lovely Kim of Oh Sweet Joy! I'm drooling over the perfection and deliciousness of her gingerbread and mint chocolate Macaron's. So yummy looking!

Here are a couple favorite recipes for the holidays. These are definitely all on my "to-bake" list!

1// Christmas Cookies - Loreta Blog
2// Butterscotch Pot de Creme - Noel Barnhurst
3// Eggnog Shooters - Hostess with the Mostess
4// Frosted Orange Cookies with Pistachio - Zucker Zimt und Liebe
5// Eggnog Muffins - Acute Designs
6// Cider Caramel Apple Pie - PinLaVie
7// White Chocolate Cherry Shortbread - Better Homes & Gardens
8// Kitchen Sink Cookies - Paula Deen
9// White Chocolate Cinnamon Pretzels - Your Cup of Cake
10// Coconut Nutmeg Pudding - Pastry Affair

What are your favorite things to bake during the holidays? 12 Days of Christmas Cheer is almost at an end! Tomorrow will be our last day. Be sure to check out Jenny's blog later today for some of her favorite family recipes. :)

  1. Oh my these cookies are beautiful!! I almost don't know if I could even eat them!! Christmas means cookies to me so I make spritz cookies every year! =) I hope your office & friends enjoyed your cookies!

If you use your macaroon kit, please do a post about it! I'm curious about how to make those...that would be some treat to make! =)

  2. I love baking during the holidays and every year is something different. If they are good enough, they continue on to current and future years (like my made-from-scratch apple pie cinnamon rolls.

I love baking french macaroons. Definitely have to be patient and always watching the clock for each step but they are well worth it. I always feel like I've achieved some huge success! Happy baking :)

  3. Snowflake sugar cookies are definitely on my list of things to try! I haven't had a good baking session in far too long - doubt they'll turn out this pretty though!

  5. I love baking all kinds of cookies and you made so many! I hope you have success with your macarons! I've tried twice and only once did they look semi presentable. Florida humidity is just not made for baking macarons. Sigh..
