I am so excited to be able to do a special feature post for a wonderful sponsor and two talented girls! Mervi and Helena are explorers, treasure hunters, and have a huge passion for vintage pretties. They are here to share a little bit about their story, their inspiration and offer a special surprise to my readers! And now, I would like to officially introduce, My Best Friend Jules!

Tell us about your blog, My Best Friend Jules.
We are Mervi and Helena, two girls united by the love of all things vintage. Our story began two years ago, when we met at a design course. It was friendship at first sight.
Before our blog was born, we often discussed about a little project that we could do together - something we’re both passionate about and something fun. And slowly the idea of having a vintage blog started becoming more and more intriguing. In November 2010, we decided to create My Best Friend Jules blog.
We are on a mission to share the vintage loveliness all around us, as well as our passion for design, art, photography and all things cute. We both have our own distinctive styles and we want to bring that forth. Therefore we are blogging daily, in turns, giving our lovely readers a bit of versatility and different perspectives. So far it has worked wonders!
It's so neat to see two friends running a blog together, tell us about you.
We make a really good combo – we are so similar, but oh so different. And that’s why it’s always so interesting to share ideas. We also have the same sense of humor - what would life be without hint of sarcasm on everything you do? Life is fun and we don’t take things so seriously. It’s ok to have stupid ideas because next week they can be awesome and so called top dollar. Never give up and remember to dream big!
Vintage jewelry: Art deco black Onyx silver ring

Vintage jewelry: Greek key pendant necklace

What inspires you the most?
Mervi: Courage, in all its forms, is one of the most inspiring things in the whole wide world.
Helena: People who love what they do and respect others.
Favorite Magazine?
Mervi: Nylon Magazine
Helena: Vice, Vogue
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor?
Helena is a mascarpone flavor kinda gal, and Mervi is the traditional vanilla and strawberry combo girl… with chocolate sauce, of course.
Favorite Place to Visit?
Mervi: One of my favorite places in the whole wide world is my little hometown, Kauhajoki, Finland. Whenever I visit there, I feel right at home. Everything there is so small, cozy and welcoming. Another lovely place, close to my heart, is Sydney, Australia. I’ve lived there for two years and it’s just one of those places I never get sick of. The city is so full of life and everywhere you look, you can find such inspiration and beauty. Bliss!
Helena: You don’t always have travel far to find an interesting place – you can find it from your own city or town. Helsinki is great, because the sea is near. I also love Barcelona, Stockholm, and Copenhagen.
Favorite Inspiration Website?
There are so many inspirational websites out there. But lately, we’ve both been spending a lot of time on Pinterest. It’s like a never-ending pool of inspiration filled with beautiful artwork, fashion, design, illustrations, quotes, photography etc. People are so talented and creative. Beyond amazing! If you want to see the things we’ve been pinning on to our little boards, take a peek at http://pinterest.com/myfriendjules/
Current vintage obsession?
We are both obsessed about vintage accessories. Jewelry, hairpieces, handbags, shoes, sunglasses, belts… you name it. And the word obsessed is an understatement! We run a daily feature in our blog – jewelry we heart today – to share our current obsessions!

Dude. Their stuff is beyooootiful! My favorite inspiration is my ex-boyfriend, Dave, who passed away six years ago yesterday. He committed suicide following a mental illness, & my inspiration comes from the creativity & beauty he demonstrated before the illness took over - I live in his honor, to try to achieve the sort of beautiful life I know he would've gone on to lead had he made it through.
