Project ReStyle: Glam Dresser

Before Jonathon and I got married, we began collecting and trying to find pieces of furniture we could call our own before we moved into our little place. We didn't really gain any hand-me-downs, so we had to start from scratch. One of my first purchases was a $30.00 dirty white thrift store dresser. It was sturdy, had lots of drawers, had a nice shape, but most importantly had potential to look killer. I swiped it up right away and with the help of my dad's painting expertise, transformed it into a glamourous silver dresser with glass knobs. Altogether, the cost of the dresser and the supplies came out to around $60.00!

I love how the metallic paint makes it reflective and mirror-like without having all the upkeep of a mirrored piece. Got any current projects or ReStyles?? I would love to see!

Wishing you a restful weekend.

  1. I absolutely love this, but I'm so intimidated to try! Any tips for total beginners in the restoration area?

I've been working on a re-style for...oh, like a month now. It really should have only taken me about 2 days, but... eh. It'll get done eventually! ;)
