MY ON-THE-GO SPRING MAKEUP LOOK

Spring is here, and so is mommyhood! This means that most days I only have a small window of time to get ready. I like to look alive to the world, especially if we need to run errands or if we're having visitors over. MY FOUNDATION ROUTINE

Sharing my favorite foundation and application tools in my new foundation routine video! Let's be real, I usually only put on a full face of make-up 1-3 times a week at the most. When I'm at home working and spending time with Soren, I like to let my skin breathe and don't usually wear anything. I also have a 5 minutes make-up routine that I'm planning to share soon! 3 WAYS TO WEAR A SCARF WITH CURLY HAIR

It can be a little tricky styling curly hair. Most of the time my hair just has a mind of its own and really doesn't want to be tamed! One of my favorite tricks is using a scarf in my hair to help keep things in place and make the look seem like I put more effort into it than I really did. ;)

Since I dye my hair red, I definitely get roots! Wearing a scarf is my favorite way to semi-hide those roots and keep things looking fresh until my next dye job. :) Putting this video together just made me wish for spring even more!

BEAUTY: LUSH & SEPHORA HAUL

A couple days ago I adventured out into the real world and took a little mommy break. This was the first time in nearly 4 weeks that I had been out by myself since having Soren and it was just what I needed. It's been so wonderful being home with little Soren and my husband, but as Jon informed me...I needed to take a little break. I had been wanting to re-stock on some of my favorite Lush products as well as try out some new things, so to the mall I went. The lady working at Lush easily sold me on a handful of new-to-me items and I had a blast talking with her about the products and her recommendations. Their helpful employees are just another reason why I love Lush so much. ;) Afterward, I decided to pop in Sephora before heading home and pick up a couple things there too. Some pamper time was just what the doctor ordered! :)

BEAUTY: TOP EIGHT RED LIPSTICK PICKS

Wearing a beautiful, bold red lip is my very favorite go-to look when wearing make-up. Since I have red hair, it's a little tricky deviating from a red without it looking a little funky so I tend to stick with red as my top color choice. Wearing a red lip can seem a little intimidating but the great things is that most skin types and hair colors beautifully pull off a classic red lip. --- Not to mention, wearing a red lip is totally acceptable year-round. BEAUTY: CHRISTMAS HAUL

I've mentioned this before but I LOVE gifts. It's one of my top love languages and it always means so much to me when someone gives me something thoughtful. I also LOVE giving gifts, wrapping them, watching people open them. I get so giddy and it's my favorite part of any birthday celebration and one of my favorite things about Christmas. I find myself getting so addicted to some of my favorite beauty gurus on YouTube and their "Christmas Loot" videos that I thought it would be fun to feature a few favorites that I received during Christmastime! Also, I'm super excited to be featuring a couple of great companies that make top-notch goodies! 

Of course Christmas isn't all about gifts, but having a spirit of giving, and loving on those close to you through giving, whether that be a heartfelt letter or pair of earrings from their wish-list is so fun! :)

BEAUTY: FACE CARE DURING PREGNANCY

A few months ago I did a video about my body care routine during pregnancy and I wanted to follow up by doing a video about my favorite face care products to use during pregnancy. It can be a little tricky finding great products that make you feel fabulous AND help combat acne if you're struggling with that during pregnancy.

I really experienced a lot of hormonal acne during my second trimester and into my third trimester so it became super important for me to have a clean, fresh face and do a little extra to take care of myself. Honestly, spending a little extra time on myself during this time and been one of the main ways I relax and feel loved on. Pregnancy is such a special time. Soak up every minute and don't forget to give yourself a little extra love. :)

BEAUTY: SPARKLY LINER TUTORIAL FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

I have always been a glitter lovin' girl at heart. No matter what style phase I find myself in, I'm always drawn to sparkle. My favorite way to incorporate a little shine into my everyday look is by adding in little touches. Of course every now and then you might as well rock the sequin pants right? Christmas is the perfect time to bring out the glitter and one of my go-to ways of doing that during the holidays is with a little glitter liner. I love using glitter liner over a pot of glitter because it really stays put beautifully and doesn't get all over your cheekbones and counter top. ;) Check out my quick glitter liner tutorial to help you out with a fun look for all of your holiday parties!
