WEAR: BACK TO BASICS

Basics are my new favorite, currently. I might have gone on a mini shopping spree at Target a week ago to stock up on some great basic pieces that are comfortable and still easy to nurse in! I think a great way to make more neutral, simple pieces have a pop of interests is all in the accessories. I love combining fun jewelry, shoes and scarfs to give an outfit a little more "punch". Still figuring out ways to best dress my new postpartum body and feeling like a might be leaning towards a shift in style. Pinterest is probably my very favorite place for collecting style inspiration! It's probably time I go through my closet and figure out some of the pieces I'm missing.

Any tips on re-accessing your style and organizing your closet? Would love to hear!

WEAR: ME & MUPPET

For today's Wear post, I decided to have my favorite little man help me out. :) -- I've been on the search for comfortable clothing to wear around the house while working and watching after Soren that ISN'T pajamas. ;) These leggings by Seamly.co are hands down the most comfortable leggings I've ever worn. They have amazing tummy support and hold everything together nicely. If you're looking for amazing basic pieces and want to support a small business, you should definitely check them out. WEAR: CASUAL NEIGHBORHOOD WALK

Jon, Soren, and I have been enjoying afternoon walks in the neighborhood a lot lately, especially while we've been getting a few perfect spring days here and there. :)

Gave myself a little haircut the other day. Things were getting out of hand with the tangles so it had to go. Plus I'm finding it a lot easier to wear down and style. Needed a little change for the new season!

WEAR: FALLING IN LOVE WITH COBALT

I don't know what it is about this color, but it seems to bring out the best in my skin tone and hair. I think when I get to a place where I'm ready to start building up my wardrobe again, I will go on a hunt for more pieces with this color. What a fantastic tone for spring and summer too!

Since I was having a little bit of a pants crisis... (Maternity pants too big and pre-pregnancy pants too small)...I decided to pick up a pair from Target to help me out during this "in-between" phase. I typically wear super fitted pants and went for a more relaxed "boyfriend" fit. I REALLY like these. They are super comfortable and perfect for helping me through this transition.

WEAR: PERFECT WEATHER

It's been interesting how whenever I look into my closet and consider what I want to wear that day I'm thinking..."Would this be easy to nurse in?" My, oh my, how things change. :) Today, Soren is 6 weeks old! I can hardly believe he is nearly two months. He's growing and changing in so many fun ways. :)

WEAR: GOOD TO BE BACK!

This is my first "Wear" post in a long time as well as my first "Wear" post since the baby bump! It was nice to take a little break because let's be real, the end of my pregnancy and first month of Soren's life I was wearing nothing but PJs. ;) I do have to say that it's been a little difficult finding clothes that fit from my closet. Maternity wear is too big and my old clothes are too small. Tricky!

I should point out a few of my favorite things about this outfit. First of all, braids! I've never worn my hair like this before but I quite like it. Something a little different! Second, this cardigan is the best thing ever, so soft and handmade! The folks at Seamly.co have got it going on. I also love that there are multiple ways to wear this piece. Finally, I'm in love with this diaper bag/purse hybrid from Lily Jade, how cool is it that it can also be worn as a backpack? Planning to do a more in-depth round-up/review of my favorite camera/purse/diaper bags soon!

WEAR: THE ONLY THING I'M WEARING

At this point in the pregnancy I've resorted to mainly PJs, and since I DO still have outings planned and errands to run, I decided to pick out one outfit and just wear it over and over again. :) It's taken the get creative with what you're wearing pressure off my day and I can just plan to look cool in the same outfit. ;) It's been a pretty good plan so far! And since it can be dressed up or down depending on my shoes or jewelry, I'm considering this idea pretty flawless and successful. :)

Since I want to make sure to record the last part of my pregnancy I'm hoping to pull something different together and take some maternity photos with Jon within the next week or so. We are 3.5 weeks away from the big due date, people! -- Also about this weather...so thankful this babe is keeping me warm! It's been incredibly cold in Georgia.

You *might* see another outfit post from me before baby comes, but I'm not making any promises. ;)

A YEAR IN OUTFIT PHOTOS

I had a lot of fun experimenting and getting into the swing of shooting more outfit photos in 2013. It was a great way to keep myself accountable to taking time on myself, exploring my style, and working on being creative with locations. It was also SO helpful and wonderful to have naturally gifted people like Jenny and my husband Jon shoot most of these for me!! I'm so thankful!

To be honest, I'm currently sitting in my bed, 36 weeks pregnant and wondering if I'll be able to pull myself together for anymore outfit photos before baby comes. I'm feeling like big, cozy clothing and PJs from here on out. ;) I've also been defaulting to one "going out" outfit at this point since my tummy has been breaking loose from most of the tops I own. ;) We'll see what happens this month! In any case, I'll be sure to get back into the swing of posting outfit photos a little after Soren is born. :)

It's been a little tricky finding nice maternity clothes to wear during the holidays with a nearly 34 week bump! It's been ALL about comfort lately. Cozy, light clothing that fits well and feels good. I've been living in this off-the-shoulder sweater top from PinkBlush lately. I love how it fits, looks, and most importantly how it feels. Three cheers for cute maternity clothing!!

Today is my last day of "work" for the holidays. I'm still planning to put together blog content while I'm away but I'll be taking time off from design work and Maiedae meetings with my lovely team. While I adore my job, it's so wonderful to take breaks in order to refresh and get re-inspired. This time of year is my favorite time to do this. The new year always feels like a blank canvas of possibilities. :)

WEAR: A FESTIVE BACKDROP WITH RUKAA & SOUL MAKES

These holly bushes grow like crazy in our backyard. It looks so beautiful during the wintertime. A perfect backdrop for winter-ish outfit photos. :) I'm finding it extremely weird seeing myself so pregnant in these photos. It's one thing to look down on your tummy and see its growth and another to see yourself in photos! I'm so excited about this growing baby boy, though, can't wait to snuggle his little face!

Also, really loving this slouchy beenie from Rukaa and gorgeous statement quartz necklace from Soul Makes! Making this mamma-to-be still feel hip. ;)

If your camera battery runs out, the next best thing to use is an iPhone. ;) Jenny and I ended up doing a iPhone styled photo-shoot for our outfits this week. Lesson learned. Always charge your camera battery or bring a spare!
