Today is a perfect day for a giveaway! I'm so excited to not only giveaway these great items, but introduce you to some new shops for the holidays! Jon and I started our Christmas shopping this week and we are hoping to get finished by next week. I've got a couple of special friends already checked off my list, but I still have the challenge of finding the perfect gift for my dad and father-in-law. Why are dads so hard to buy for? ;) To celebrate the Christmas shopping season, enter to win three gifts from three different shops to keep for yourself or give to someone you love. :)
1// Needle Felted Bernie the Bear Wooly by Handmade by Brynne ---> "In my eyes, life is about the little things. It’s so wonderful to see the joy that my little needle felted creations can bring someone. Everyone can appreciate something adorable and handmade. Working with wool is my artistic expression and I love bringing my designs to life." Taylar not only makes adorable little creatures in her shop; but she also make ornaments, cat toys, and nature inspired treasures. Too cute for words! Be sure to check out Taylar's blog and shop while you're on the hunt for unique Christmas gifts!
2// Surprise Package by Fair Ivy ---> "Fair ivy is a subscription company that delivers happiness—our customers receive beautiful, handmade gifts for women in the mail each month. Each one is sent by an individual crafter who lovingly creates and wraps the goodie so that even the experience of opening each one of our packages is a special treat. We send 2-4 new handmade gifts every single month, so that the surprise excitement never ends." This could be one of the best Christmas gift ideas ever. If someone you love has a thing for handmade, buy her a subscription to Fair Ivy! I love how each package is wrapped so carefully and the excitement of not knowing what's in it is the best. ;) ALSO, use coupon code: MAIEDAE5 to get $5.00 off a one-month order!
3// Print (winner's choice) by AW Photography ---> "A fashion portraiture and wedding photographer by day, I am almost always taking photos of people! While traveling or enjoying the little beauties of my home in California, however, I find much joy in photographing vast landscapes and small details. My prints are little captures of my life and surroundings to share." I love the slightly haunting style of her photography. So beautiful! See more of AW Photography on her blog!

Amazon and Etsy are my favorite Christmas shopping sites. I love to find unexpected gifts and it is so easy to type in someones interest and come up with a ton of unique ideas! My brother likes the Boston Bruins and thanks to Amazon he is getting a Bruins gnome and toaster this year!

These are such awesome gifts! For christmas I like to make things myself or give something personal. Last year, I gave my parents and grandparents a book with all kinds of questions for them to fill in and to give me back later haha. I requested it as my present for this year so I hope they've been writing! xo
ReplyDeleteI have always made gifts for people, except last year I splurged and bought my boyfriend, parents and my best girl friend something really special. I bought them exactly what they wanted last year. This year, I'm going to be making gifts again. It's just not in the budget to buy this year, but my favorite place to go shop is always local. I'm a huge fan of buying locally :) We have a local Holiday Market here in Eugene, that is our weekly Saturday Market except it's moved inside for the holidays :) it's my favorite place during the holiday season! :)

ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Adrienne and I am an Etsy addict. I love Etsy and find inspiration and unique handcrafted items, not to mention that I am supporting mom and pop shops that are trying to make a living doing what they love. The other places I like to shop is JoAnns Fabric Store and thrift stores. I made blankets for my family one year and personalized them with various hand stitches. I have also made jewelry and used thift store finds to make unique treasures. Thank you for hosting this giveway. Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas.

ReplyDeleteHa! my favorite "place" to shop is online, partly because we don't have a lot of shops here. We do like to go to a small town Red Lodge for ornament shopping each year though. They do a Christmas Stroll that feels like you walked into a Norman Rockwell picture- complete with roasted Chestnuts, sleigh rides and kids with sleds!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to shop for Christmas presents would probably be the mall, mostly because I can meander around and end up finding a gift for everyone, all in one place. I wish I had more small shops and boutique type stores around me so I could shop in those types of places.

ReplyDeleteI love to shop for gifts at our local market, 2nd Street Market. It's full of unique, locally crafted treats and the people are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOh! So very fun! For Christmas and Yule... any holiday really... I love shopping on Etsy. I know I can find unique gifts, and there's such a vast selection. For instance, for Father's Day, Jen and I bought my dad a grilling spice sampler from a really lovely Etsy shop that specializes in unique, delicious blends. Outside of Etsy, I love Wal-Mart, and Target - especially Target!

ReplyDeleteI like to get creative and find things at used bookstores, thrift stores, and other random discount stores. The hunt for a gem among all the junk is fun!
