YEAR TWO

Jon and I made it a tradition on our first year anniversary to get our pictures taken each year of our marriage. Last year, we did a picnic themed shoot, thanks to my talented sister! This year was a little less planned and more casual. We decided to snap some photos at the park and in downtown Lawrenceville. I love our expressions in these photos, I feel like they are very natural and genuine to who we are. :)

My sister, Kelsie, is the best. She is always so sweet and willing to take pictures for me...whether it's of Jon and I or for an outfit post. She's just tops. Thank you, Kelsie!!

2 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Today is a special day!! Jon and I are celebrating two wonderful years of marriage. :) We have loved being married, learning new things about each other, and challenging ourselves to grow individually and as a unit. One of my favorite things about our relationship is the fact that we truly love to support each other in our personal passions. We love learning to be a great team by figuring out our strengths and weaknesses. We love knowing that together we can work through any trial. In so many ways, we've grown up together, and it's such a joy to see where we are now and how we've grown in love towards each other. I'm looking forward to building a wonderful third year of marriage and seeing what's in store for the future. :)

Our hearts are going to continue learning to love and serve each other by striving to be great spouses for one another. Our goal is to always "work" on our marriage, seek growth, and to never be content with being stagnate.

* Taking care of each other through a broken foot, surgeries, and sickness.

* Taking weekend trips to Rome to visit Zach and Leah.
* Double-date nights.
* Lazy days with NO schedule plans.
* Deciding to move to a town-house in August.
* Date night every Wednesday.

Cheers to a wonderful year two!! I'm so honored to be married to such a wonderful and loving man. To say I'm crazy about him would be a huge understatement. ;)

MARRIAGE RETREAT GETAWAY

On Thursday, Jon and I took a half-day at work and left after lunch to attend a marriage retreat in Rome, Georgia. We loved being able to reflect on our marriage, spend intentional time together, and get away from the busyness of life and our routine at home. We came back this afternoon, and even though I'm coming down with some icky bug, I'm feeling refreshed in my personal life and in my marriage. :)

I try not to be too mush-mush on here, but I'm seriously crazy about my husband. ;) We have nothing close to a perfect marriage, but I am so thankful and honored to walk hand-in-hand through the trials, best of times, and everything in-between with him. Love that man!!

The Winshape Retreat area is seriously one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. I didn't capture nearly enough pictures of the retreat area, but here are a few quick snap-shots:

In a classic Jon and Savannah fashion, as soon as we got home, we snuggled up to our latest show obsession. Sadly, we finished the last few episodes of Firefly and topped it off with watching the follow-up movie, Serenity. So good. I really love watching shows with Jon, but it makes me so sad when they come to an end! We are trying to decide what our next show will be...any suggestions??

Well, my mission for the next two days before my (almost) 2 week business trip, is to rest up and kick this sick bug in the arss so I can be well and do good work!

Doing the Charleston!

Seriously, it has been WAY too long. Jonathon and I got swept up in a whirlwind of Thanksgiving celebrations and I cannot wait to share all about it! We just got back late this evening from Charleston, SC, and, flat out, had the most amazing first Thanksgiving together as a married couple.

I am anxious to share pictures and treasures with you! But since it is so late, I will have to just give you a sneak peek with more to come soon!

Speaking of the holidays, I have to admit...I have been anxiously awaiting Christmas, pretty much since Jon and I got married six months ago. One of the first questions I asked him after we moved into our little home was, "Where are we going to put the Christmas tree?!" Well, Thanksgiving is officially over, and Jon has told me this is the acceptable time to start the "yule-tide-oh-christmas-tree-holly-run-run-rudolph festivities". Tonight I have already managed to watch two Christmas movies: "Ernest Saves Christmas" & "Home Alone". TOMORROW is decorating time! I will be sure to share pictures.
