HAPPY THREE YEARS

It has ended up being a week of celebrations (unintentionally) for our anniversary, but today is our official three year wedding anniversary. It's hard to believe that three years ago, today, I was getting married to this stud of a man. We've been together for so long and I love all of the history we've shared. I feel so blessed to be Jon's wife and so incredibly happy to be married to him.

I often tell Jon that these past three years have then the best years of my life. I'm looking forward to all of the phases of life we get to experience together. Right now, we have been so content and thankful to just be married, we look forward to the future and raising a family together, we look forward to growing old, supporting each other in our passions, building community together and doing life side by side. He is my favorite in the whole wide world.

I put together a mini playlist of some of our favorite songs. We usually have varied taste in music and have found a few the we LOVE listening to together. Some of them are from high school and others are more recent. :)

Does She's So High bring anyone else way back??

CAPTURED: TENNESSEE

I wanted to be sure to share a couple snapshots of our time in Tennessee! I spent most of the time "unplugged" and didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked, but made sure to capture a few. :) I seriously love getaways. We spent most of our time in the cabin playing games, watching movies and cooking yummy food.

We went with another couple, Zach and Leah, who are celebrating their 3-year anniversary the day after us so we've become anniversary buddies. :) Is it bad that I'm already counting down the days until our next trip? I'm thinking the beach is next up on our list!

2 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Today is a special day!! Jon and I are celebrating two wonderful years of marriage. :) We have loved being married, learning new things about each other, and challenging ourselves to grow individually and as a unit. One of my favorite things about our relationship is the fact that we truly love to support each other in our personal passions. We love learning to be a great team by figuring out our strengths and weaknesses. We love knowing that together we can work through any trial. In so many ways, we've grown up together, and it's such a joy to see where we are now and how we've grown in love towards each other. I'm looking forward to building a wonderful third year of marriage and seeing what's in store for the future. :)

Our hearts are going to continue learning to love and serve each other by striving to be great spouses for one another. Our goal is to always "work" on our marriage, seek growth, and to never be content with being stagnate.

SEVEN YEARS

Seven years ago today I was 16; a junior in high-school and officially the girlfriend of my sweetheart, Jon. :) It's been an amazing seven years of growing up together, experiencing life, graduating from high school, encouraging each other through college and the pursuits of our passions, getting engaged, planning a wedding, college graduation, marriage, honeymoon, first home, first year. :) My heart is so full of joy and I am thankful everyday to have such an incredible man in my life.

Thank you, Jon, for your leadership, encouragement, love, and character. I am so blessed to know you and honored to call myself your wife. Looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you. :)

Our New Tradition: Year One

For our anniversary, Jonathon and I wanted to start a tradition. We didn't really want to focus on gift-giving during our anniversary and just keep that for birthdays, Christmas, and special surprises. So, we decided to record each year of our marriage with photos. This year, our theme was picnic, and each following year, we'll pick a new theme//scene to represent us. My hope is to one day have a huge wall filled top to bottom with photos of us as we grow old together. Sentimental much? :)

I'm sooo happy with how these photos turned out! It took me awhile to find the perfect quilt and picnic basket to complete our little set-up. My talented, amazing little sister took the photographs for us and I edited them using Photoshop. We also used up a roll of film from my fisheye camera, so I'll post those once I get them developed. :)
