GO. READ. SIP.
This month I asked my sponsors to share what their ideal spring vacation would be and what they would be reading and sipping during their free time while enjoying a beautiful location.
Pacific Northwest | Into the Wild | Coffee picked by Sara of Simply Sara >>> "One of my favorite places to be is nestled deep in the forest. There is nothing more beautiful than the great outdoors. I dream of exploring all of the Pacific Northwest. Into the Wild is a true story about a man who leaves all of his worldly possessions behind and sets of into the wild. 'Happiness is only real when shared.' Coffee. Warm or iced. With a touch of nutmeg, vanilla, or caramel." >>> Find Sara here: Blog | Pinterest
Ireland | Into the Wild | Guinness picked by Valentina of Valentina Duracinsky >>> "Honestly, there are too many drinks and books to choose from but Ireland is for sure the one place I love most. Guinness is something I like to drink...whenever, really. I love love love Guinness. Into the Wild is one of my favorite books, it's inspired me so much." >>> Find Valentina here: Blog | Facebook
New York City | Rework | Goji Berry Smoothie picked by Sara of CourseCraft >>> "My name is Sara and I'm the co-founder of CourseCraft, a super simple e-course creator. My dream location would definitely be New York City. I try to visit often and I love to spend my whole vacation eating and roaming the city on foot. To keep my energy up for all that walking, I would be sipping a goji berry smoothie. After a long day of stuffing my face, I would settle in to read Rework! The "stop talking and start working" sentiment in Rework is how I try to deal with running CourseCraft out of my home when things get crazy." >>> Find Sara here: Site | Twitter
Belmar NJ | The Tipping Point | Son of a Peach picked by Ryan of Rags&Thread >>> "My name is Ryan Gagliardi and I own Rags&Thread. My favorite location is not glamorous but it's my home away from home. Belmar, NJ - Restore the Shore. I would probably be reading The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell and drinking Son of a Peach from RJ Rockers Brewery." >>> Find Ryan here: Site | Women's
Bar Harbor Maine | Stargirl | Pimms Cup picked by Katie of 3 Happy Eaters >>> "I'd be sitting on a porch in Bar Harbor, Maine, looking out over the water reading Stargirl and drinking a Pimms Cup. >>> Find Kaite here: Blog | Facebook
London | Good Omens | Earl Grey picked by Kristin of My Life as a Teacup >>> "The drizzly grey skies of London are a dream to me - I'd love to travel there. Heck, I might not even come back! With a cup of Earl Grey in hand (especially with a hint of caramel and hazelnut!), I couldn't imagine any place more charming. As much as I want to glue The Great Gatsby to my hand, I'd probably be reading Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett's Good Omens, for some much needed end-of-the-world snark." Find Kristin here: Blog | Twitter
New Zealand | A Map of the World According to Storytellers & Illustrators | Oatmeal Cookie Chunk picked by Candice of All Mapped Out >>> "If I think of somewhere I've been where I was perfectly, magically, entirely content, it would be New Zealand. For books, I truly do love maps. There is something for everyone within the spacious confines of cartography and geography, so I know I'd be soaking up more mappy treasures, most likely with my latest must have, A Map of the World According to Storytellers and Illustrators. No reason not to full on splurge in an hypothetical scenario, right? My drink of choice would be a Ben & Jerry's Oatmeal Cookie Chunk ice cream shake." Find Candice here: Shop | Facebook
Maragogi | Half the Sky | Caipirinha picked by Victoria of re.Served >>> "My dream location is in the northeast of Brazil in a town called Maragogi. I went there on my honeymoon with my Brazilian [hot] husband and would absolutely die to go back. We stayed at a resort called Salinas do Maragogi. It is breathtaking. The drink of choice is a caipirinha, made strongest and best on the beaches of Brazil. And the book would be "Half the Sky", since I just ordered it used from an Amazon seller and absolutely know I won't be able to get through the entire thing until I'm on a beach, with a drink in my hand, and a babysitter tending to my two little girls." Find Victoria here: Shop | Facebook
Mount Shasta | Dare, Dream, Do | Bell's Beer picked by BreAnne of Love Always >>> "Right now I would love to read Dare, Dream, Do. I am most at peace by a lake. I find such serenity when I am in the wilderness and by the calm waters of a lake. Although I love my life right now in my eclectic, busy, beachside city, I dream someday I will retreat to a place like Mount Shasta in Northern California. I have many favorite beers but I had to go with a hometown favorite, from where I grew up, Bell's Beer. I would either be sipping on a Two Hearted or a summertime fav Oberon." Find BreAnne here: Blog | Facebook
What would be your Go. Read. Sip. choices be?? Please share below! Please note: I'm currently not accepting new sponsors at this time! I'm planning to launch a NEW blog design this Friday and will also be launching a new sponsor program for Maiedae! Get excited!!

SPONSOR FEATURE: SPRING DRESSES
Springtime is slowly approaching and I'm having daydreams about picnicking in warm weather and taking weekend trips to Savannah, Georgia. :) This month I asked my sponsors to share their favorite spring dress pick and tell us about where they would travel to in their new outfit.
1// Mariana - I'm not sure this is my dream spring dress, but I can totally imagine myself wearing this Mango dress on a warm spring evening, somewhere by the sea or in a small romantic town (in France, maybe:)), walking around, checking out the shops, listening to music and just enjoying the evening with some good company and a glass of red wine. I can totally imagine that! Find Mariana Here: Blog | Bloglovin'
2// Sophie - My dream spring dress is the Louche Julita Paisley Dress. My favourite spring memory is from a holiday to New York with my boyfriend a few years ago. Our first few days were drizzly and cold and then all of a sudden spring had sprung and we spent the afternoon in Central Park sitting on a rock eating cupcakes and taking in the atmosphere. If I could, I would go back to that day and wear this beauty. The thought of twirling around Central Park in this fun, colourful, 50s style dress makes my little heart dance :) Find Sophie Here: Blog | Shop
3// Amanda - I love this polka dot fit and flare dress from Nordstrom, the irregular polka dots are so cute! I would love to wear it while strolling the streets of Paris, or simply enjoying a date night with my guy. Find Amanda Here: Blog | Bloglovin'
4// Susan - I would pick a bright yellow and white sun dress and a little turquoise colored cardigan and I would love to be on vacation in Greece wandering amoung the white washed walls of Santorini, Greece! Find Susan Here: Facebook | Pinterest
5// Laura - I'd wear this beautiful maxi dress to walk along the beach to pick up seashells. Find Laura Here: Blog | Shop

SPONSOR FEATURE: SEASON MUST-HAVES
February is just about over! This is good because it means the cold weather *might* start turning into spring soon. Come on fickle Georgia weather! Let's get some sunshine and warmth! This month, I asked my sponsors to share their top two must-haves for the season. Mine would definitely have to be giant furry blankets and Lush's Ocean Salt scrub. See what my sponsors picked below:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Dani of High Walls - Must-Haves // My two 'must haves' would have to be: a good book - I believe in always keeping my brain active and inspired - I'm currently reading through the Sherlock Holmes stories after my boyfriend bought me the anthology for Valentines Day! Secondly, I think you should always have something that gives you confidence - my new go-to item to cheer me up is this pair of glitter ankle boots, every time I put them on I feel a little bit fancy! Find Dani here; blog & twitter.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Michelle of Creature Type - Must Haves // Pastel Colors: I've been feeling the need to dress extra sweet and sugary lately to combat the winter dreary-ness! From my pink tights to my minty scarf, everything is cozy ,but happily colored! Tegan and Sara's "Heartthrob": Tegan and Sara have been one of my very favorite bands for years and I have a lot of happy memories listening to them with my best friend. I've had their wonderful new album on repeat for weeks! Find Michelle here; blog & shop.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Ashleigh of Lovestoned - Must Haves // Right now I am shopping for new flatware and found this really amazing set. The birch handle is my favorite - it's something that my husband and I can actually agree on, shocker! Now if I could just get him to let me buy it! I'm also in desperate need of some sunshine right now. How long can winter go on?! As much as I want to break out all my maxi skirts and tank tops I will be happy to just surround myself with fresh flowers and doodles. I am so in love with all of the journals from Minted, especially this brightly colored one! Find Ashleigh here; blog & instagram.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
April of Jototes - Must Haves // Q&A a Day Journal and Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette. Find April here; facebook & pinterest.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Amanda of Amanda K by the Bay - Must Haves // I've had my eye on these pretty lacy suede oxfords for spring, and I would love a throw pillow for my new couch! Find Amanda here; blog & pinterest.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Beth of Until Only Love Remains - Must Haves // My two "must haves" this season are a pair of the new GAP skimmers (I am just in love) and Burts Bees Chapstick (A must have in the Colorado winters!) Find Beth here; blog & facebook.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Nat of Modern Buttercup - Must Haves // This season, my two top picks are Lush's Sweet Lips sugar scrub and Burt's Bees hand salve! These two products are some of my absolute favorites, and I don't know how I would survive winter without them. They're lifesavers! Find Nat here; blog & twitter.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Christine of Flapper Girl - Must Haves // Haley Doc Marten Boots (my favorite boots) & "Waiting for Something to Happen" by Veronica Falls (my current favorite album). Find Christine here; blog & shop.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Liz of Donna's Decembers - Must Haves // The soda fountain dress from Modcloth that is the perfect shade of yellow and a fresh copy of The Great Gatsby to read before the movie hits theaters! Find Liz here; blog & shop.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Magen of Crumpled Fantasies - Must Haves // LUSH lip scrub for my dry winter lips and a Hello Apparel sweatshirt to keep me warm and comfy until the weather warms up! Find Magen here; blog & twitter.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Mia of Mia Malene - Must Haves // Black Converse: I am a Converse-addict. I own a ton of them in a ton of different colors and different versions. Oddly enough, I don't wear most of them. But my black low cuts seem to be glued to my feet; especially during this season. Which is weird seeing as everyone is walking around in their warm boots, trying to stay warm. Me, I just need my converse and I'll be happy - and a warm jacket of course! Volbeat 'Beyond Hell/Above Heaven': Volbeat is a Danish band that I absolutely love. Their music is truly amazing and I've attended a few of their shows. I am currently waiting (not so) patiently for their new album so while passing time I'm listening to this album on repeat; the perfect way to start and end my day. Find Mia here; blog & twitter.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Poly of This Enchanted Pixie - Must Haves // Lush Mother's Day in Paradise gift box and the new Rising Appalachia album. Find Poly here; blog & shop.

READ. WANT. LISTEN.
This month, I asked my sponsors to share what book they are currently reading//wanting to read, what's on the top of their want list, and what band they are currently listening to. :) My answers would be to read Gone Girl. I've heard it's good. My wish//want list item would be another trip to Disney and/or Universal; I've been in such a theme park mood lately! AND I'm listening to Mumford & Sons always. What about you? Feel free to share your answers below. :)
Ashleigh of Love Stoned - Read// I've made it a silent goal this year to read more books (but really, who hasn't?!) and I'm really interested in reading J.K. Rowling's new book The Casual Vacancy. The reviews are amazingly hot and cold. It will definitely be on my list of books that I never got around to reading last year and ones that I'm excited to check out this year! The problem is picking which one to start with! Want// I am desperately in need of a new pair of eye glasses. My pup, Kennedy-Buttons, ate my last pair and I've been squinting at the television ever since! A few months ago I did a home try-on from Warby Parker, but didn't find a pair that really suited me. I'm excited to give it another try! Listen// I've actually been listening to Young the Giant a lot on Spotify recently. I knew a lot of their music before, but never actually knew who the band was. Once I put the pieces together, it's been on repeat ever since, and I'm loving it! - Find Ashleigh here; blog & instagram.
Megan of Freckled Italian - Read// Life of Pi. I just went to see the film this weekend and it blew my mind with all of its magic. I'm really excited to read the book that inspired it! Want// One of David Yurman's bracelets. I tend to wear a lot of gold and silver and love them both, but I always want to combine them and can't seem to figure it out. I think one of these pieces would tie everything together quite nicely. Listen// Mumford & Sons, Babel. I listened to this album non-stop for about a month when I first bought it, then took a break for a while, and am now back on it. I love every word. My favorite songs are Below My Feet and Not With Haste. - Find Megan here; blog & twitter.
Sophie of onetenzeroseven - Read// The book on my reading list right now is Eccentric Glamour by Simon Doonan who is the Creative Director of Barneys, New York. I read an interview with him on Etsy recently and fell in love with his views and attitude towards art and fashion. You can read the interview, here. Want// I'm a long time obsessee of Alexander McQueen and I have been lusting over their pashmina scarves since just before Christmas. The classic skull ones are fantastic, but there's also some gorgeous floral designs too! My boyfriend bought me an AM wool skull scarf when we first started dating and it's such a thoughtful, special gift that I dare not wear it!! :) I'm hoping to have another great successful year, with my handmade jewelry, like I was lucky to have had last year and perhaps I'll treat myself. Listen// Ever since I discovered his music last year I have been playing Young Hines practically non-stop. His album, 'Give Me My Change' was my favourite album of 2012 and it's full of passionate lyrics and great guitar riffs for dancing around the house and shouting at the top of your lungs ;) - Find Sophie here; blog & shop.
Leah of Unearthing Words - Read// This month, I'd love to reread an old young adult favorite entitled Sabriel by Garth Nix. It is SUCH a terrific book and it has been years since I've read it. Want// On my wishlist this month, I've definitely got the book Beneath the Surface. It's book 5.5 in Lindsay Buroker's Emperor's Edge series. So, so good! I can't wait to read this installment soon. Listen// I've been listening to the Gladiator soundtrack over and over again this month while writing and working. I'm a major fan of epic music to put me in productive moods. - Find Leah here; blog & twitter.
Leigh of Barberry & Lace - Read// I would love to dive into The Martha Rules by Martha Steward... I just need to find the time! Want// I'm pining over a new sewing machine! Maybe for my birthday?? Hear// I cannot get enough of the song You Were Born by Cloud Cult. So wonderful. - Find Leigh here; site.
Charlotte of Midnight Caramel - Read// Dancers Among Us by Jordan Matter. Want// Clouds photography. Listen// Emiliana Torrini. - Find Charlotte here; blog & Facebook.
Lisa of Lisa Barbero - Read// Communion: The Female Search for Love by Bell Hooks. Want// Really want one of these amazing bedspreads by gypsa. This one in particular is gorgeous and the color kind of reminds me of creamed coffee and caramel. Listen// The Killers. For like 8 years now. Seriously, it's always The Killers. ;) I even made this poster as fan art so I could blow it up to 16x20 and hang in my studio. - Find Lisa here; site & shop.

HOLIDAY DIY ROUND-UP
Since the holidays are in full swing, I asked my sponsors to share their favorite//must-do DIY for the season. I'm always on the lookout for creative ways to decorate and make something, especially during Christmas! Check out their picks below:
1// Autumn Leaf Bunting - Picked by Chelsea of Sea, Field & Tribe
"It's a fun and simple way to bring nature indoors. I love the ever-changing colors of the leaves, which continue to shift their spectrum even as your new home decor." Find Chelsea here: Blog + Shop.
2// Advent Wreath - Picked by Leah of Unearthing Words
"I’ve been meaning to make a proper advent wreath for a while now and I have been inspired by many gorgeous Pinterest pictures. I think I’ll go more traditional with the greenery and purple//pink candles!" Find Leah here: Website + Book.
3// Striped Wall - Picked by Kellee of Pirate & Lilac
"I've been thinking about painting a wall in my apartment, and even went so far as to buy the paint... but still haven't gotten around to it! I'm hoping I can finish it soon (maybe a New Year's resolution?) as I also want to use the wall as a backdrop for my blog photos and shop! I picked this tutorial as it shows many different examples of stripes in ways I hadn't thought of before, plus practical tips. The blog itself has many great articles as well!" Find Kellee here: Blog.
4// Lace Boot Socks - Picked by Maddie of Thriftary
"These DIY boot socks are my absolute fav so far. Everyone needs the perfect pair of boots to walk them through this amazing holiday season, and these socks are the perfect accessory for that!" Find Maddie here: Blog + Twitter.
5// Framed Branches - Picked by Moorea of Moorea Seal
"I moved my workspace into a new studio in June and I still haven't decorated! I want to add some nature inspired pieces to the walls with elements of branches, feathers, moon imagery, antlers, and animal skulls."
Hmmm...if I had to pick, I think I would choose this Driftwood Photo Display via Morning Creativity. :) What about you? What are you handmaking for the holidays or pinning on Pinterest?? Oh, and before I forget! I need to announced the winner of the "Three Treasures" giveaway! Click here to see if you won. :)
Interested in sponsoring Maiedae for the month of December?? Check out my sponsor rates here. :)
