TO CALIFORNIA WE GO

Today, Jenny and I are on a plane heading to California! We'll be there until Tuesday and we are so excited about our trip. Our trip is two-for-one, because we will be visiting one of our very closest friends from college who is going to school in Pasadena and later in the week, attending Blogshop Video in LA.

We have plans to tour around the city and go to Disney for a day. If you have any "must eat at" or "must go see" places on your list, please share! We currently have a whole day unplanned for visiting the city so please send your suggestions!

I'm also SO stoked about learning more about shooting and editing videos. There are a handful of new post series on the blog that will include videos//vlogging that I can't wait to start sharing. I'll be sure to check in with some photos from our trip!

Happy weekend!

  9. Wow, okay, I am from Los Angeles, and if you are a meat eater there are many places you need to try for the true L.A. experience! Fast food types but unique: Pink's Hot Dogs in Hollywood, after a club try the street hot dogs, In & Out, or King Taco, so bad for you but yummy! Other places that are amazing: Cuban Food: El Cochinito on Sunset, Argentine: Lala's on Melrose are both great. Go to K-town near downtown and try Korean BBQ- my favorite spot is on 6th and Alexandria next to a 7-11. In Pasadena, there is a Spanish restaurant called Barcelona that is seriously just beyond delicious. ALSO, please don't forget to try Porto's Bakery in Glendale, it is a famous bakery and sooo great. They have authentic Cuban food and pastries there, too, in addition to cakes and other bakery items. Try their potato balls and Media Noche sandwiches. If want some authentic and delicious Asian dishes, go to San Gabriel Valley. There is a restaurant there called Savoy that serves a chicken dish with rice and a sweet/spicy sauce that is ridiculously good. Have fun!!

  10. PS: If you want to laugh and have some good Thai food, go to Palm's Thai on Hollywood Blvd. Their food is great, and they have an Asian Elvis impersonator singing all night, lol! Oh, and if you get a chance to go out to Redondo Beach try their crab legs by the water, so fun and so good!

If you're in Culver City Rush Street is a restaurant worth stopping into--their mac and cheese is one of the best things.
